Growth hormone (GH) is a hormone that stimulates growth and cell reproduction in
humans and other animals. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is one of many endocrine
hormones, like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin and DHEA that decline in
production with age. It is a 191-amino acid, single chain polypeptide hormone which is
synthesized, stored, and secreted by the somatotroph cells within the lateral wings of the
anterior pituitary gland. GH directly stimulates division and multiplication of chondrocytes
of cartilage, the only cells found in cartilage. They produce and maintain the cartilaginous
matrix, which consists mainly of collagen and proteoglycans.

The body is comprised of many systems that work together. Growth factors are small
natural proteins that regulate cell growth and control the metabolic processes. They
enable the cells in the hormonal, immune, and nervous systems to communicate and
coordinate their growth, death, regeneration, and functioning. Cell reproduction slows
down as we age; unless they are prompted by the growth factors they go into a resting
phase.

IGF-1 is required for normal growth and health maintenance. It helps to transfer glucose
through the cell membranes and helps to supply the raw materials that cells need for
growth and repair. It also regulates cell growth by moving the cells from the resting phase
to the active phase of its cycle and it increases the cell’s ability to complete DNA synthesis.
Clinical evidence shows that low IGF-1 levels play a key role in the degenerative changes
brought about with aging.
Human Growth Hormone Science of Anti-Aging
                                     What is Growth Hormone?
Studies in the New England Journal of Medicine and other journals show that increased
levels of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) may reverse biological aging. HGH is a natural
hormone in the body, but after about age 20 our bodies produce less and less, leading to
increased body fat, decreased immunity, poor skin tone, decreased libido, and other
symptoms usually associated with aging. Some increase in HGH levels can be achieved
naturally by exercise, careful attention to diet, and reducing body weight to optimum levels.
Injections of pure HGH, which are very expensive and risky, have been used
therapeutically in growth hormone deficient individuals, and have been used to raise HGH
levels to artificially high levels in otherwise healthy adults. With advanced, proven
nutritional supplementation, you can experience the benefits of increased HGH levels
safely and inexpensively.

Recent research has discovered those nutrients which naturally enhance the body's own
production of HGH. The results associated with increased HGH levels include:
1. Restoring Lean Muscle Mass
2. Reducing Body Fat
3. Restoring Hair Color
4. Increasing Strength
5. Thicker Skin
6. Reduction of Wrinkles
7. Increased Energy
8. Improved Endurance
9. Deeper and Sounder Sleep
10. Improved Memory
11. Reduction of Depression
12. Increased Sexual Functions
13. Improving Cardiac Output
14. Normalizing Blood Pressure
15. Improving Cholesterol Profile
16. Improving Immune Functions
17. Helps reduce PMS/Menopause
18. Restoring Size of Liver, Heart, Pancreas
What benefits can I expect to see if I increase my level of HGH and IGF-1?

In 1990, a human clinical study was published in the New England Journal of Medicine that
rocked the world of longevity research.  Elderly men, ages 61-80, were treated with
synthetic human growth hormone (HGH), and none altered their diet, exercise activity, or
lifestyle during the trial.  All the subjects gained muscle, lost body fat, increased their bone
density, thickened their skin, and expanded their livers and spleens close to 20%. The
scientific significance of that study was that restoring youthful levels of HGH in the subjects
effectively reversed their biological age by 10-20 years!

From the New England Journal of Medicine - restoring youthful levels of GH may reverse
biological aging by:
Human Growth Hormone's Role in Aging
Clinical studies show a direct correlation between decreasing HGH levels in adults and the
effects of aging. Human growth hormone deficiency in adults is called "somatopause".
Decreased levels of human growth hormone and other hormones reduce the body's ability
to function properly. For instance, the growth hormones that are responsible for forming
muscle mass; human growth hormone, testosterone, and thyroid, all drop dramatically as
we get older. For this reason, the ratio of fat in our body increases and the ratio of lean
muscle decreases even if we exercise and eat properly, and even if we do not actually
gain weight.

On average, after age 35 the amount of body fat expands by 50%, while the lean body
mass (LBM) that forms muscles, bones, and the vital organs actually shrinks by 30%.
The amount of human growth hormone released by the pituitary gland after the age of 21
to 31 falls by about 14% per decade. This means that HGH in the body is reduced by half
at age 60. On average 20 year olds have a level of about 500 mcg, 40 year olds have
about 200 mcg, and 80 year olds have only about 25 mcg of HGH.

We now know that the body literally breaks down and wears out due to the lack of
hormones; specifically human growth hormone and its growth factors
.
1. Restoring muscle mass
2. Decreasing body fat
3. Thickening the skin, reducing wrinkles
4. Increasing energy
5. Increasing sexual function
6. Improving cholesterol profile
7. Improving memory
8. Elevating mood and improving sleep
9. Normalizing blood pressure
10. Increasing cardiac output and stamina
11. Improving immune function

GH also stimulates production of Insulin-Like Growth
Factor-1
(IGF-1, formerly known as somatomedin C), a
hormone homologous to proinsulin. The majority of
benefits related to HGH are actually brought about as a
result of IGF-1 and other growth factors such as IGF-2.
HGH acts as the general and the growth factors are the
soldiers who do the work at the cellular level. The liver is
a major target organ of GH for this process, and is the
principal site of IGF-1 production. IGF-1 has
growth-stimulating effects on a wide variety of tissues.
